Phaedra Parks Dishes on Her "Dancing with the Stars" Experience
Phaedra Parks, the former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, is trading in her stilettos for dancing shoes as she joins the cast of "Dancing with the Stars" season 30. In an exclusive interview, Phaedra opens up about her journey on the show, her partnership with pro dancer Mark Ballas, and her hopes for the competition.
Q: What was it like to be asked to join the cast of "Dancing with the Stars"?
I was so excited and honored! I've always been a fan of the show, and I've always wanted to learn how to dance. I jumped at the opportunity to join the cast and challenge myself.
Q: How have you found the experience so far?
It's been an incredible journey. It's been a lot of hard work, but it's also been so much fun. I've learned so much about myself and about dancing. I'm really grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the show.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your partnership with Mark Ballas?
Mark is an amazing dancer and teacher. He's been so patient with me and he's really helped me to improve my skills. We have a great chemistry and we work really well together.
Q: What are your hopes for the competition?
I'm just taking it one week at a time. My goal is to improve each week and to make it as far as I can. I'd love to make it to the finals, but I know that it's going to be tough. I'm just going to enjoy the experience and try my best.
Q: What do you think you'll bring to the competition?
I think I'll bring a lot of energy and passion to the competition. I'm also a natural performer, so I think I'll be able to connect with the audience. I'm hoping to show everyone that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about auditioning for "Dancing with the Stars"?
Just go for it! If you have a passion for dancing, then don't let anything stop you from pursuing it. The audition process is tough, but it's worth it if you have the talent and the determination.
