Intriguing Match-Ups in Men's Edition

France to face USA in Group Stage

The draws for the men's and women's Olympic Football Tournaments have been made, with France and the United States set to face off in an intriguing match-up in the men's edition. The draws were held in Paris on Wednesday, March 20th, and the seven iconic venues across France that will host the men's tournament were also announced.

The men's tournament will feature 16 teams divided into four groups of four. France, as the host nation, was automatically placed into Group A and will face the United States, New Zealand, and Tahiti. Group B includes Spain, Argentina, Egypt, and Australia. Group C consists of Brazil, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Ivory Coast. Group D will see Great Britain, Italy, Uruguay, and Senegal compete.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, which will begin with the quarterfinals on August 6th. The semifinals will be held on August 9th and 10th, and the bronze medal match will take place on August 12th. The gold medal match will be held on August 14th at the iconic Stade de France.
